OH, and I finally remembered to test my Burnbox HC to see what happens with the driving modes. My car is a 2016 and I've not updated the Burnbox HC in probably a year. I suspect some of that matters.

I set my car to "Custom" mode. I activated the line lock, and when I let go of the line lock button I had that exclamation on my Uconnect screen that said "can't change modes right now" or whatever. I'm sure you know the one I'm talking about. However the car remained in "Custom" mode and I confirmed with a data log that trans was still in sport.

We may need to start a bigger thread to discuss the variables that may affect this on various year models.

If I remember correctly, I think mine would put it in Street trans mode after burnout, but I haven't tried it in so long that I need to try it again & look to see.
But if it really doesn't change the performance any ?.. then it's all good anyway.

Well it wasnt in the cards. Car got heatsoaked from waiting. Dialed 9.61, ran 9.73. Then in 10.00 i patted the brakes twice and still broke out 9.8 to 9.9. Videos of the 9.6 coming soon.

My vote is run as fast you can for TNT and keep the 10.0 class so you don't need the cage. Pull a few degrees and/or take off easier and run a 10.0. If they dont through a fit about mph may be easier to get out of the easier and run a 10.0 and not worry so much about prep and be more consistent.

I want to say thank you to everyone that participated in this thread for 2021. From the banter, to the pissing contests, to the good advicefor the track and tuning and the total meltdowns I would have after reviewing logs and the car not doing what I wanted it to do and to all the Chevy's and Ford's I spanked it was a great racing season. For 2021 the car had a total of 68 passes here are my records for the season:

Best R/T: .000 <--- what the fuck, I'll never do this again.
Best 60': 1.375 <--- 3.09 putting in work
Best 1/4: 9.667 <--- Spicy
Best MPH: 143.760 <--- The flux capacitor was working!

Worst R/T: 0.722 <--- I was sleeping...
Worst 1/4: 10.863 <--- March 15th, right before I put on the 2.72 and started tuning with OST Dyno.
Worst MPH: 119.80 <--- I had to look for this one, I was on the brakes and did a 10.042 (cecil 10.00 qualifying).

I want to say thank you to @HighHorseman for sponsoring the 10.00 index class in MIR, it was a blessing to take 1st and I'll never forget it. It also helps that they are right next door and if I need a part it is usually here next day. Also a big shout out to @ostmike and his company OST Dyno for getting me tuned to a point where I am 100% throwing the power down. At times it was rocky through my own dumbass fault, I'm glad I reached out to them. The better the data you give them from the track, the better your tune will be, this is 100% fact.
