It’s apparently not that uncommon to have a repair at the factory. When I had paint correction done on one of my Demons the technician told me he could tell there was a repair done in a small area. I really didn’t believe him. Then I took it to another place for the clear wrap. They told me the same thing. If two different places told me the same thing I now have no doubt. It was high up on the quarter panel near transition to the trunk lid. I didn’t notice anything at all, but the experts could tell from a small tape line on the trunk weather strip where it was resprayed.
I worked at the Lordstown, Ohio plant on the van line and my gravy job was touch up of the painted bumpers. But next to me were the masters of repair, guys that could make dents and dings disappear. These guys were artisans in making flaws disappear. Not sure that hood repair was done at the factory. Looks like a dealer quick fix.
Update:
Went to dealer who took pictures.
Stated that they have to wait till May 1st to send in for viewing (due to COVID-19).
Should have some type of feedback by end of 1st week of May.

Very strange. I received a call last week from Dodge Customer Cares asking me when I wanted to bring my Demons in for the hood scoop insert replacement.
Gotta think positive. I don’t think they did it, that car has barely ever been there and even if they did, they would send it to Lance over at George’s and he does an excellent job. I’m thinking they’ll fix it under warranty and in which case you’ll get a new hood or they’ll still send it to Lance. No worries🤞
