Yeah that’s what I said it was. Did you change it out to an actual add a fuse?

No to be honest I do not know what an "add a fuse" is. Can you show me a picture?

Appreciated. And I looked it up. I see what it is. You crimp the wire into the existing wire on one end. On the other end there is a plug which allows for the fuse to be pressed into both the boot and fuse box. A fuse with connectors on both sides.

Yes, you put 2 10 amp fuses in it and it plugs into the fuse block of the car

Did the mechanic test the pump? Hard to believe it had an internal short, they’re stout pumps. Unless it went bad from that janky connection

He said they tried jumping it right at the pump itself. It would not turn on.

got her back today. took a fifteen-minute drive to the biosphere 2 and back to my house. 30 minutes in 100-degree weather. i got on her three quarters of the pedal twice. the highest iat temperatures I saw was 139 with 122 as the iat coolant temperature. In a few hours I will check the coolant level in the trunk. if a little low i will add some water so there is no cavitation.
