To anyone following my saga, today turned out to be a very good day...

I got my D170 order verified and submitted. Butch Hora and his dealership are an honest bunch. It took a while for top-level ownership (they are part a National dealership conglomerate) to agree to the deal Butch and I consummated in October at 5K over MSRP but it finally happened today.

BUTCH HORA at Hall Dodge in Va Beach is da' Man!

He is one of the (very) few car sales professionals I've ever encountered who FIGHTS for the customer. Hall leadership stood by him too.

Ok, so what did I get?

PCP
Matte Black Hood (only)
Premium Black Interior (w/18 spkr HK stereo and trunk dress kit)
Rear Seat Delete
Demonic Red Seat Belts
(Also wait-listed for Carbon Fiber wheels)

I feel like I just ran a marathon. Happy it's over but totally wiped out...

Now the 9-month wait begins!

Good for you man, and I sincerely mean that. So, there was a chance the ownership would not honor it, if I'm reading that correctly? I'm glad they did, but its a pathetic comment on the industry when it is a matter for cheering and calling out that someone keeps their word. Looking forward to you coming to give me a ride in it!

100% true. I think almost everyone has worries about that...even real (and fake) MSRP orders! Dodge production has not exactly ripped it up over the past 2 years!

Thanks, man. Yeah the two weeks it took to work things out was a bit of a bit nerve-wracking roller-coaster ride but I'm very happy and grateful it worked out in the end!

It's the new CAFE fuel standards that go into affect on 1 Jan 2024, not their desire to build or not.
