To anyone following my saga, today turned out to be a very good day...

I got my D170 order verified and submitted. Butch Hora and his dealership are an honest bunch. It took a while for top-level ownership (they are part a National dealership conglomerate) to agree to the deal Butch and I consummated in October at 5K over MSRP but it finally happened today.

BUTCH HORA at Hall Dodge in Va Beach is da' Man!

He is one of the (very) few car sales professionals I've ever encountered who FIGHTS for the customer. Hall leadership stood by him too.

Ok, so what did I get?

Matte Black Hood (only)
Premium Black Interior (w/18 spkr HK stereo and trunk dress kit)

Demonic Red Seat Belts
(Also wait-listed for Carbon Fiber wheels)

I feel like I just ran a marathon. Happy it's over but totally wiped out...

Thanks! I'm stoked. I also am waitlisted on the CF wheels. Hope they come in too. My 19 yr old son and I plan to drag the car together. It's the only reason I got a second seat. I was close to 1 seat stripper. I think it was a good compromise in the end. This will become his car at some point and he helped build it.

10k over what a steal. I offered 10k over at my dealer and he laughed at me lol. At this point I’d happily pay 20k over for one. No brainer I mean as soon as it’s in your possession it basically worth more than you paid for it. Congrats on the allocation

Actually, I got mine for +5K but yeah I'd say anything less than 100K is below market right now. Crazy, but it is what it is! Very few locations left too.

I paid 10k over for my ‘23 jailbreak charger all bullshit aside… And it’s just a standard hellcat. Really liked the spec and I’m not really the type to run around all over the place to try to get the best deal although I’ve never paid mark-up the last car I got 16k off and it was a Redeye. I figured I could order one but wondered if and or when it would actually be built.

I"m jealous, I contacted about 134 A-hole dealers in the Southeast, to no avail. I'm not going to pay 100K to 320K over. I have given up on the Demon, maybe in another lifetime. I am very grateful that I have a Challenger Hellcat Redeye, purchased at MSRP and this was not easy. I have 300 miles on my 3 month old Redeye and I plan to enjoy, as there are no more Hellcats, very sad...

If I get the chance of one at a reasonable price I’ll get one,but with all the add ons to get one here it’s unlikely.
