I don’t know. These are covered under the recall so I assume so.

At least that Kitty will live to fight another day! Great news and it’s covered under warranty I hope!
Covered under a recall from several years ago but still active.

I never got mine done, makes me want to disconnect and bore scope them to see what they look like.

I waited for a few months after they fixed the glitch in the software update that was part of the recall & had mine done. Have had zero issues.

Cat got an alignment + brake fluid flush/change yesterday. They tried to fix the weird 'rubbing' sound @ low speed coming from the steering column but no joy on that :(.

They applied the TSB that called for lubing the boot & steering shaft where it meets the firewall. The Tech agreed that the noise was coming from inside the car and said most of the time that fixes the issue. He suggested I drive it for a while and give the grease time to work itself in & see if that makes a difference. Next step is to tear into the rest of the column, tilt pack & wheel - he didn't seem too eager to go down that path & neither am I. At least they didn't charge me anything for the effort !!
If it is a polymer, then silicone spray works well, if you can get it where it needs to go. Maybe put a carburetor cleaner nozzle and stem on a silicone can, maybe even attach a tube? I would even drill out a nozzle to fit a tube!

Took the M6 out for some spring exercise. I leaned on it on a entrance ramp in 2nd. The rev limiter is still working.

It was 60 and sunny. Put about a hundred miles on it today. First, went to our Sunday car-guy breakfast, then visited a few friends and gave some first-time HC rides, in the afterrnoon.. The car was enjoying it, also....

Took the Kitty for a proper road test post-valve cover project - 2 cemeteries, freeway cruising, a little around town, ice cream, and A/C on.

Total ear porn! Reminds me of that 50's Jerry Lee Lewis song "whole lotta shifting going on". At least I think that's the name of it. ;)

Finally say I took the kitty out and went to church. Nice blast there and back. Really miss that whine. 😪 All my friends knew I was coming before I got there. Outstanding. Such a blessing to have, see people in their beaters and feel funny having such a nice car sometimes.
