V86 Emissions Recall

Back in August, I received a post card in the mail from DMV informing me that I have to go to an emissions station to get tested by Nov 30. The weather was beautiful today in my lovely liberal tax-you-to-death state of CT so I decided to go this morning. I never had the emissions recall done on my car. I passed with no problems. So........bottom line......I ain't NEVER bringin my HC for that recall. Good luck to those who get it done.

Had mine done just shy of 3 months ago and I've had no problems, they have clearly fixed the initial issue with the 'tune'.

Took mine in today and it seems like my dealership didn’t replace them. Wtf.

I’m not sure if new catalytic converters look that way out the box. My hellcat is only at 16k miles so most bolts and parts still look fairly new. I will give them a call tomorrow and verify.

I'm no CSI, but if you look at the details - the scratches, the welds - like the scratch running diagonally through that square highlight, it is clear these are the same cats in both pictures.

That was my thought/observations as well - what are the odds of both the old & new cats having that exact same scratch !

None you got got. My cats were shiny as hell and had a sticker on them with your part number. Someone sold your cats probably. Look for a sale in your area.

Yes, it is two photos of the same cat.

I had no performance issues with the recall myself. Definitely the cats were changed....they left the paper stickers on them and i thought I drove through a garbage fire on the way home....crawled under when I got home to verify the smells...

Mine still makes noise FCA doesn't give a $hit. If you got new cats you would have smelled them.Dodge Cares is horse $hit. Open a case it means nothing.

I have received 4 total now and I also live in a non-emission testing county. It's cool though gives me a nice chuckle each time it get it.

Didn't meet Federal and California emissions standards.
