That is what I did most of my life, And enjoyed it for a lot of years. The new cars and trucks are light years different than the old ones. What we did with an engine oscilloscope is now done with a lap top telling you what is wrong. Not my cup of tea anymore.
A better picture of what I started with. I didn't mention that the original engine had been pulled out. And it had been laying in a clump of trees for the past 30 years. I had to cut my way into the trees to rescue it for restoration.

They were very basic, compared to the luxury of today's limousines. The old one feels like driving a wagon, not station but horse drawn LOL. But the old one cost. $1,900 out the door. compared to $60,000 to $80,000 Now days. A crazy change.
The old girl still has charm.Everyone that sees it loves the color. I guess everybody is tired of seeing gray, white, black, red, Nice to see something new , with a matching interior.! What know charcoal gray inside. LOL
That is out of the greatest period of my life. I had know worries, or concerns about anything. Life was Great.I was 5 years old when this truck was purchased. The first time I rode in it sitting next to Grandpa. Watching Him row through the gears on the column. I was mesmerized by it. I will carry that vision to the grave.
