Okay, I've officially lost it.
Yesterday I wrote that the little red wagon had arrived at the dealer. Nope, it's the little Granite wagon that did.

That was a bad pun, Hunter.
Besides, it was much cooler on the way there, in the early morning. Actually, for probably the first time ever, I had to use 4WD on a regular road.

It wasn't overly steep,maybe 8-10%, but it was shiny ice covered with snow (okay, I didn't know about the ice yet), so every time the tranny shifted, the rear end stepped out. Turned the traction control on, took it out of tow/haul, and finally locked it in 4th gear, which helped a lot.
But eventually it wouldn't go forward without the aid of 4WD.

The GPS shows the descent. A really fun road when it's dry, but it was icy all the way down to about 8,500 feet. Another first: I drove the speed limit!

I hauled a Harley in similar conditions with a 2500 and a Uhaul trailer...fun times!!!

Oh, don't get me wrong. I love driving in snow. It's so much easier to go sideways and have fun.
It's just that this might have been the first time I had to use 4WD to do it, on a public road.

Thanks! Yes, it is a nice color combination, but that one's my girlfriend's, not mine.

She's not able to fully enjoy it quite yet, having just surpassed 100 miles with short trips. That should be it for the gears, but another 400 to go.

I'm pleasantly surprised with the mileage of mine, though, after seeing all this doom and gloom 10 mpg stuff.
While I don't drive it as fast as the Challenger (in other words, 85-100 instead of 90-120) it has been getting about 17 on average, despite my full throttle passing habits. That's pretty darn good for a 700-hp box, I think.

Oh that's right you got your Octane Red TH sled a while back. Pass on my congrats. Gotta love a his and hers situation - kind of like IROC racing right. Could be fun.

Ya that mileage doesn't sound too bad - with gas prices dropping so sharply, who knows, I might be able to upgrade to one soon.

Well, at least when the sun isn't shining on it.

And speaking of fuel prices, I'll be ordering another 1,500 or so gallons of diesel here, soon.

Opps - yes PRV paint code is Velvet Red on a Jeep and Octane Red on a Dodge. Beautiful color for sure. Wife wants her new Durango in PRV and I'm looking forward to that. Now just need to decide what trim (SRT versus RT) and whether to wait for MY2021 to get the 10.1" infotainment and revised front fascia with LED headlights.

Oh, that's easy:SRT. Or better.
LED headlights? Doesn't matter what headlights you have if driving fast enough. The closer to the speed of light you get, the brighter they'll be.

Will do. I'll clean it today, and if the weather cooperates, we'll do some test firing.
It is much smaller than I had expected, which is fine for her, but she did have a bit of a hard time racking it at first.
