$4400! My dad's Super bee was like 1k less
Yup, this was an expensive car. Who ever ordered this car they loaded it out, took care of it, and must of really loved it to keep the window sticker.
Not many kept something like that.
It was ordered and was a early build, 1st or 2nd week of production in 1961 and sold at a dealer in Virginia as per window sticker. Went right away to California, then after some years to Nevada.
Then 27 years ago my bud in Winnipeg, Manitoba bought it, drove it for a summer then parked it and put the 413 in, then it sat in his heated shop.
I saw it some years ago but it was not for sale. I told him if he decides to sell as he had 10 other 62-65 wagons that he was, you know, gonna build.
Anyway, I guess he forgot to get a hold of me but I saw it for sale in August 2022 on Kijiji 2 hours after him posting it. I called right then and told him to take the add down I'll be there in 24 hours. Got there in 22 hours. lol.
The rest is history.
These are original 1962 Ontario Licence plates that I had approved to use on my car legally under the Y.O.M. program, (Year Of Manufacture) that we have here in Ontario. The front plate isn't perfect but when you put clear plate covers on you don't notice the flaws.
Easy # to remember and the "X" at the end represented that the vehicle was a "Station Wagon". Only wagons got the "X" back then and went until, I believe, 1971 or 73, then they stopped using that system.
