That and the area below on my car with the 315/60-15. That area below the rib where you can see the spot welds. I cut that with couple vertical cuts and beat that lip in and over. I don’t have a real good picture but you can see it in this picture looking up to show the tire clearance.

Carlyle said 6.5. He said that on the 15’s there is only that one bs. So.... same for both narrow and wide body cars. That bs keeps the tire inboard as much as possible, so it doesn’t stick out any more than necessary on the standard body cars and keeps it inside with the wide bodies.
