I changed up my mufflers last night . I removed the flow master FX mufflers and installed a set of dynomax VT mufflers . It's definitely quieter as there is basically 2 active exhaust valves now . But I'm still not sure I like the sound . Yes I'm fussy .

Ok I want to retract my last statement about the dynomax VT mufflers. After taking them out and putting them through various paces I really like them . Nice and mellow while cruising with no drone what's so ever but a roar when you jump on it and no gurggles , popping, or crackling . I am happy once again!
Remember I have no cats or resonators ! Just 3 inches pipes and 2 mufflers !

I am fine tuning my fueling as we speak . Once I get the stft to +/- 2-3% across the board I don't even notice the fuel smell . It's when it pulls 5% or more fuel out I notice the fuel smell . I will try to make some video the weekend.

Remember these cars have negative overlap on the valves so if the tuning is right there shouldn't be much unburnt fuel in the exhaust. The demon /redeye camshaft has -14.5 degrees of overlap . I believe the hellcat camshaft has -20 .

Our friends at Billet Pro Shop sell it. They have drums of E98 at the moment. I bet it isn't cheap.

You might wanna call and ask. The pump stuff around here is $1.53/gallon so WAY cheaper than race gas. Keep in mind it won't keep as long as gasoline especially in cold/humid air but might be worth a check just the same.

I told you before (but you never listen to me. 😂). Stop effing around with “street” muffins (Active exhaust valves?) and get a set of the Flowmaster “laminar flow” race mufflers. Nothing else like it. Make your car sound like blown small block Chevy. A lot better than the “Hellcat” sound. Don’t let the “Race” word scare you. They are labeled as “Moderate” sound and they are not loud. They do not drone, crackle, snap or pop. Get them with turn downs. Get rid of those noisy ass tailpipes!

A lot of people are always after me for not listening to them lol ( especially my wife)
I had these mufflers "in stock" so I put them on . Once I get my headers installed I will be doing a complete custom exhaust . I will be dealing with the real mufflers then .

Just poking at you 🤓 The long tubes will change the sound too when you do that. When the time comes, if you want to hear what mine sounds like, you have to go to Instagram. SRT_Stinkeye. There several videos with sound. Some idling and some under power on the dyno and at the track.

Well folks I just put a set of these on . It's there more moderate muffler ....... Well with 3 in from the manif.olds back , no cats or resonators . It's not very moderate lol . I will get some sound clips from the track this weekend with moparjim and Frenchcat. I think I will add a vibrant 1794 just before the tips but they have to be welded in and I have to wait my turn to get into a friend's shop

Do you still have the stock cats? I forget . I have the flowmaster FX cat back with the active valves and SW cat delete pipes . I didn't like the FX mufflers ( fake Magnaflo's basically).
