I have done a lot of work with electric ugga duggas, which ones did you have bad experiences with @Speedy! The only problem I had was with the pulley swap but I’ve bent every other nut and bolt to my will.

The Dewalt ones I have struggled with axle nuts and crank bolts. This thing is like "bzzt" done. LOL

My aircat/nitrocat tools have never given me any issues. I ended up buying mine and got this one because some bolts and Michigan rust I was over fighting them by hand if I could even get them by hand. I really need to get some cordless tools. But my tool collection grows every year so it’ll come at some point.
btw another YouTube upload? You trying to get the algorithm to pick up on your channel? YouTube like multiple uploads like this. 2 a week or so.

I don't give a whole lot of thought to YouTube or their algorithm honestly. That ship sailed a couple years ago I think. I never really took Youtube all that serious, I just didn't have the time. Back when I started there was no "getting paid" so timing was off for me. The payment thing and the real chance to make it a thing was like 2014 or 2015. Now with full production companies moving from TV to Youtube channels, we're seeing a lot of the grass roots channels fade away. It's not worth the time and effort for the smaller channels which is a shame because several I liked watching no longer upload content.

Behind the scenes info since we're all Mopar brothers here. Most of this video was filmed several YEARS ago. I forgot about it and found it on a hard drive when I was cleaning up space LOL. I found a couple more I'll probably upload but I'm about to need another break to be honest.

Aircat impacts are good, my old shop was a mix of Ingersol Rands, and Aircats. All of the Snap-on impacts I tried were heavy, and the weight was biased on the top. I’ve got a pair of IR231’s, and a 2131 which has been my favorite since it’s lighter and more power than the 231.

My old coworker used his 231 as a hammer to knock brake drums loose, and it kept on working.

If you want a little more break away torque, use some stick on wheel weights on the perimeter of the socket.

Air craft im pact acts are good to have when you own a bike that has $120,000 worth of paint on the frame and tank. Not too speak of the rest. All wrenches are doubeled walled rubber not to scratch any surfaces. Cars are worse. BLACK is going to my grave with me,, again.

Snap on makes the best ball joint press available, not all of the tools the offer are the best, or most affordable. Milwaukee Fuel electrics have taken over in a lot of shops. 15 years ago the electrics couldn‘t keep up in power or capacity.

Yeah those Milwaukee fuel tools are pretty nice. As my Dewalt wear out that's what I'd replace them with, assuming the Dewalts wear out LOL. Had them for years and stilll going strong.

I’ve been researching electric impacts. Milwaukee has been high on my list. Undecided at this point but they have a 3/8 cordless that has really been catching my eye.
if you were to start over do you think you’d went Milwaukee? Or do you think the grass is greener on the other side?

I wanted an impact that was light for changing out the wheels on the car for the track. I ended up buying the Milwaukee M12 2554-22. Couldn't be happier

Probably the best video I've seen comparing cordless impacts

I have a few tools to discuss, but they're members here. Is there a thread for that?

Short answer, if I were buying today I'd get these in this order as budget allowed:

https://amzn.to/2WEUTN7 - Ratchet
https://amzn.to/3gR3gvR - 3/8 impact (uses same battery as ratchet)
https://amzn.to/3BsFez7 - 1/2 impact (great at the track for swapping tires around and other stuff)
https://amzn.to/3t6mX7N - impact driver (great for interior panels and stuff like that)
https://amzn.to/38qx2D4 - blower which is great for drying the car after washing
https://amzn.to/3mOxHXx - saw because cutting things

I'll give you my two cents from the perspective of having used these tools for 12 or so years. Technology has come a very long way. You end up sort of married to the manufacturer once you dive in since the batteries and chargers are all proprietary, so I'd try to buy the one(s) that meet the most of your needs and fit your budget. Stretch the budget a bit if you have to, these things last a LONG time.

I went with Dewalt because 8-10 years ago they had the most tools that fit my needs. What I quickly saw is that each year they got better and better, so I learned to limit scope as it were and pick the ones most versatile.

You need a little variety as the more powerful ones can tear up things if used in smaller jobs, so I went with a couple low, med, high power impact and an impact driver which has been great for interior panels.

Exactly what I have been looking at. Even the blower I looked at. I may end up going to corded for that to save money. I may try to do the 3/8"impact and Ratchet in the same buy since the 3/8"impact comes with two batteries and buy the bare tool ratchet.

Working on my truck air tools haven't gotten in the way to much with any of those projects. But everything I have done with the car so far I have wish I had cordless.

I have learned the hard way about some tools have to much power for some jobs. When I was 18 or 19 (still young and thinking more power is always better) someone was helping me with my truck and we were putting my valve cover back on my truck and he used a 1/2" pneumatic impact. I didn't think much about it at the time. Until I pulled the valve cover off again 2 years later on my own. Well the bolt broke in half... At that point I knew why it broke. Now I am extra crustiest on how tight I make things.

I've had the most trouble breaking exhaust bolts using too powerful of a tool. Now I start with least powerful and work my way up.
