Lithium ion battery for the Hellcat

Not really, low around 50's and high around 70s. I've also been driving more than usual. Unless there's a drain somewhere I'm not aware of.

It's a drain. The agm is struggling now. I'm having to charge it almost nightly. I believe it's coming from the behind the uconnect. After everything shuts down and if you listen real close, it sounds like a cd in a cd-player loading and it does this on and off while everything should be in sleep mode. I've checked most the other obvious stuff. Anyway, I'll update once I find out more.

That is normal shut down of vent system you are hearing, should be quiet after 10 minutes.

K I'm go through more thorough tonight. Prob do the neg batt/amp drawing fuse pull test n see if I can better locate it.

I'm really thinking its the uconnect or radio causing the draw. So the faint cd player/electrical sound coming from the screen continued longer than 10 min after shutdown. The only way I could get it to stop without disconnecting the battery was to pull the radio fuse. I updated to the latest uconnect, shut down, and then it only made the sound a split second and stopped (so far). Hopefully all is good now.

Ya know the battery might just have a shorted cell.

Not sure if this has been said. You need to store the ignition key away from the car. Otherwise the car keeps "waking up". Also this mey be intermittent making it hard to diagnose.

Fooling with the RC cars I learned you have to be careful with the LiON stuff. If they catch fire things get interesting real quick. I was spooked to try to jump start as I'd read reports of that frying the LiON batts.

I ended up getting the NOCO 5 charger. Amazingly it said if I ordered today I'd get it today and sure enough I did. It's charging the battery now although I think it's gonna take about 5 hours to get it full. Pretty happy with the little unit. Super compact and nice connectors, but I do wish it had the readout on it for voltage, temp, etc. 13,000 amazon reviews said it was great though.

Went to start it tonight and nothing. Display on the battery was flickering. I’ve gone back to agm for now.

So tested fine at oreilly and 7 days later dead as a doornail? Chinese? I swear to god, when we made batteries here i dont recall them being as troublesome.

It was actually not the battery... Parasitic draw with the Uconnect. Fixed (so far) with the latest update.

I must have gotten lucky with both my hellcats. I have not experienced the swapped gauges.

My gauges were already swapped It either happened from the tazer, or back when I did the v86 recall.
