The Hemi and L body cars are Dodges license to print money. Going 'paperless' cold turkey would be the worst idea in the history of bad ideas for Dodge. It will take at least 10 years to slowly transition over to full EVs, and Stellantis even published that road map.
Trust the real Mopar sites like Stellpower, Mopar Insiders and Allpar which have better intel than the click bait sites like this one. Motor Trend got it right although they had nothing new that hasn't already been talked about on the Mopar sites.
Don't forget the staged reveals coming up in a few weeks, current (finale), gateway (ice redesign with optional hybrids), and future - EVs.
Do you think motor1 is lying about a dodge rep emailing them specifically in response to the story and making bold claims that it’s untrue?
I think motor1 is above that, personally.
“The Hemi in that platform, as well as that platform, are going away. The next generation will be BEV." This leaves some room for other platforms to exist or persist.
Guys.....Dodge doesn't have the best track record when it comes to good business decisions. Wont surprise me one bit if they try to jump straight to electric. Itll be a disaster but wont surprise me. I just wonder if they'll survive it honestly.
Idk I consider motor trend to be a good source. I guess we'll see in a few weeks. On the bright side, if they are going EV only, I can save my money cause I'm not buying (a least for a VERY, VERY, VERY long time)

I'm not convinced it will be enough to save Dodge at this point. Too much EU influence & pressure from Steal-antics to use their shit Alpha platforms for the cars. They'll keep the Jeep & Ram segments roughly intact and try to move the SUV segments to an Alpha platform as well.
Still not AWD... for me, my charger HC w a legitimate AWD system would have me as a customer forever. Bit tjey arent going to do that, even in the motortrend pipe dream.
