This faluire does not look like mine. At one point this fall I was keeping track of stock failures. I saw 2 and 1 popped headgasket just over Facebook 100 percent stock cars. I haven’t been keeping such a close eye on the groups lately. But I do not think cylinder 4 was any of these. Typically it’s always 2
Mine was a cylinder #2 failure…..piston lodged in the block and the rod ripped the bottom out of the piston. Stock boost on E85, probably added around 60 to 70 HP…… a total of about 60 passes in the 3 years I’ve owned the car. i’m convinced with the majority of the failures being cylinder.#2 but there is some type of defect. I don’t have internal pics.
These #2 cylinder failures are what have caught my attention. I wonder if that is the same cylinder that Dodge was seeing failures at when developing the Demon 170, it would be good to know, unfortunately, I doubt they will release detailed info on the failures during testing.

Any word on the injectors?
Yep, they're finally back. One was stuck completely wide open and another leaking. Very weird. They're all flowing fine now but doubt I'll reuse.

I have been running pump e85 for 5+ years 40k+ miles no post fuel filter never checked them. Pulled them several times to change fuel rails blowers and looked inside baskets are empty.

The only time I've ran into issues with fuel injectors on E85 strangely enough was in the turbo hayabusa. We would have to pull them and clean them yearly or else it would get real fucky.

Ya thinking about it. Should have had an Mis fire code if it was that bad. I told him to get clarification from who ever cleaned them.

I never ran an extra filter either. Actually gave the one that came with my fuel system away to Bull.

Flex fuel vehicles don't have extra fuel filters as far as I know including the 170.
