Happy New Year! Here is a fun test I love to show. This is not the first time we have seen these results and this is why I love e85! This is a 2015 Challenger Hellcat with a 2.85 pulley, dual pumps, and 1200cc injectors.
On 93 it made 762hp. Here is where it gets fun. No other changes besides the required fueling changes for e85 it made 795hp at the exact same timing and mods. This is the same timing timing and mods as 93. So a 30hp gain from just using e85! This is not the first time we have seen this. We have seen similar gains when comparing timing with 100 octane as well.
We then bumped timing up and it made 832hp on a fairly conservative e85 tune to accommodate for fuel if it is not quite perfect fuel.

Nice, I think E85 raises dynamic compression which accounts for some of the gains plus you have a much wider tuning window so win win. Only downside is fuel system capacity but worth it.

Kudos for posting car content on the car forum too!

Jon, after adding injectors to one like mine, would it be fun to get the numbers on a unit keeping the stock pulley? Or not worth it? With E85 on every street corner around here and available just outside the track for a tank or two ;) could we get a gain worth talking about?

O yes e85 and a stock pulley redeye makes some steam. I’ve had many customers in the 9.4 to 9.8 range in good air
Injectors is what you’d need.

I’m in. We will talk. May even need a set of appropriate rears to see what the girl can do at the strip. I am sure the wife will understand if I add another two wheel/tires to my collection of toys. Extended warranty refund application time comes this month. The bet paid out, Jon, after you fixed it, it has ran 100% perfect.

Besides fun to try a 1/4, it could be a bitch up a few of these long straights with more HP, for a session or two, Jon. Just have to watch the fuel gauge.

Keep me posted we can make it happen if you have e85 local I would highly recommend it.

Yes it is :), glad to see it is being put to use. Car was modified by Starcks Performand and Maintenance and tuned by Jon. The best Mopar combination there is IMO.

I can find E-85 more easy than good premium around here. Plus what is important is that it is also sold right outside the track gate as easy as all the premium and leaded premium. Don’t worry you’re my source, Happy New Year!

I’ll need to have a chat with my favorite tech, because they can stick the $150/hr dealer labor charges up their ass. I am sure he can be happy working right here. Don’t tempt me to unbolt that supercharger and haul it over to Wisconsin along with that ‘16 spare little one sitting in my garage that I should get upgraded and sell for some cash too! Let’s just see what the first couple of months of this year does in the markets and tax season looks like. We will talk, sir.
