No the dealership is a business bro ur still confused. Dealerships are there to make money not friends and when they have countless other customers willing to pay $50k more for a car they have for sale thats exactly what they and every other dealership in America is gonna do. Sell it!

They care about SELLING as many cars as they can just like ANY other dealership smh. Since when did character and honestly become part of a car dealerships moto these day lol.

Life is full of disappointments..... U somehow think being in the "Military" gives this dude special rights to the car or something? Makes me lol literally..... WTF does that have to do with anything? So if it was a local Police Officer or busisness owner no one would care right? Because he's military he's now a speacial customer and his money is greener? Sounds silly bro.....

The car was not a dealer allocation, his name was on the window sticker. It was his, he specced it, he expected delivery, his allocation.

So this soldier who had an allocation, expects delivery and is dealing with Iranian backed proxies gets his car with his name on the monroney sticker sold underneath him and it is okay in your book.

Makes me wonder if you should be allowed to sell on this forum because if you support this unethical business practice I wonder how you would treat fellow forum members.

Your last paragraph is very corrosive, however you bring up a fair point. I would hope @ButterDaGreat? would cover it in those scenarios, however he gets the benefit of the doubt as I know he would.

Dealerships told dodge these 170s were being bought at msrp which they were for them so they could sell for more. I'm really surprised people didn't lawyer up after the contract to make sure they got the car at agreed price

Actually, the guy who bought the car was 8 hours away. And paying 100k over (or whatever the fuck he paid) its very doubtful he even steps foot in that dealership again. He had the means to pay 200k for the 170 to get one so he did. People like that are not interested in a Dodge Hornet or Grand Cherokee etc.

It was likely an investment decision like all the 2018s with next to no miles on them that people parked hoping for the 1M pay day that will never come.

The dealer was already making 50 over on the car if what everything being reported is to be believed. When is enough, enough? Its a 30k SXT Challenger with a big HP engine being sold for 100k over the SXT price. And they got another 50?
WTF. I'd say they were doing very well for themselves at 50k over. Lots of dreamers on ebay/fb not getting the 100k over have now dropped to 60-80k over. And more cars are showing up daily.

As for the military special rights. Technically, you are right. He doesn't have any special rights.
But public image of an active or even former active duty member has shifted greatly to the positive from the 70s and 80s Vietnam vets. If you want to piss off vets with your business practice, you better be prepared for a large public backlash.

Integrity still matters to a lot of people.

Saw some info where the guy that bought the car is trying to get it back to the soldier. Unfortunately it sounds like the buyer paid a lot more over sticker than the original deal plus taxes/fees on top so that's gonna get tricky. I'd try to unwind the deal if I were him.
