What's with early 70's Chevy pickups doin insane money...they were junk even when new now 70/80 g's

Agreed! I’ve had dozens of them and never would have dreamed they’d be worth that kind of money worked over!
My very first vehicle was a 73 step side short bed with a 327 and a 3 spd bought it when I sold my FFA fair pigs at 14

I learned to drive in my dads old 68 Chevy

3 on the tree

The old man wanted to cut some trees down & instructed me to drive down the lane ( he owned a farm )
As he sat on the tail gate with my uncle waiting for me to drive I was in panic mode
At that point he asked me if I was stupid & wondered why I couldn t drive
I was 14 at the time
I lived in the city with my mon & had no idea what 3 on the tree was
After a quick lesson I stalled the truck & my dad & Uncle decided it was safer in the cab
After cutting trees down & unloading the truck the old man said get the fuck out there ( laneway ) & learn to drive

An hour later he was flagging me down to get back to the house

I was Bo & Luke Duke that day

Dad bought his new in 87' and it's never left his side. Someday I'll take responsibility to keep her safe and sound. MANY great memories of racing it at Atco and Englishtown and even down to Bowling Green.

How do you go from 66k base price to 104K...you need yer head examined...

When these new rear wheel dodges came out I asked the same question. A base 6 was 20k and and srt was 40k so double the price for and engine
