What kind of oil should I use in the HC??? LOL!!!!!!!!!

Seriously, my Wrangler specs 0w-20, the truck specs 5w-30.

Is there any reason NOT to use 0w-40 in everything? (Cost aside.)

When I had my 5.7 replaced they put 0-w20 full synthetic in it. I looked up the part number and they started using that in 5.7s after 2022, but before then it says not compatible. Weird. 0-w20 full synthetic is what will be going on it from now on

I noticed higher oil pressure with the o-w20 on starts and when driving. When it gets hot it still dips down to 28-30s at idle

It’s the max full synthetic. Was listed for just the v6 for a while, and now they recommend it for the 5.7

I suspect mfr's lean toward low viscosity to reduce friction for a better mpg rating and sacrifice life. The engine only needs to get past warranty.

0-w20 is a full sybtegtic and more expensive than the semi 5w-30
