When i see .005", .001" or even .0001", I can immediately wrap my mind around that and understand that value and how much it is, or isn't.

.01mm

WTF is that?!, every time...
Same here. When Bobo said the tolerance was .05mm I had to convert the metric BS to freedom units to wrap my brain around that number. Turns out the tolerance he described is .002" for all of us normal people.

When something is as thin as .05 mm it's easier to wrap it around your mind than to wrap your mind around it.

My dad did precision sheet metal from early 60s forward. He worked with Steel, S.S, and Special Alloys ranging from parts for Apollo program, instrumentation, computers, control rooms panel boards with instruments in nuke plants being built. Always thought it was a treat when he would let me come into the various shops he worked over the years. The equipment was pretty cool and advanced even years ago the multi tool turrets that could automatically change out tools for the next step via CNC programming would amaze me. Way back I remember the CNC code being on punch paper that would spit out on a teletype setup, then it migrated to magnetic tape reel disc and so on as the storage media advanced.
