2022 Challenger Hellcat Redeye engine rebuild after water damage

Hi Everyone!

I am Tamas from Budapest, Hungary.
I would like to share with you my current Redeye Hellcat build.

The background: I got last week my Redeye delivered. It's motor has sucked a lot of water.
I have already taken it apart.
The supercharger survived, and the heads, cam, lifters, are good too. Crank is at the shop for crack investigation.
Unfortunately at the insurance field the car has waited more than 6 monts with water in the combustion cylinders.
I have now issue with the engine block, because the water has corroded the cylinder walls.
The machine shop will try to hone, but I am not sure, how the result will be measuring (whether would stay in tolerance)
Has anybody faced with such an issue?

I would appreciate any help, suggestion or suport on parts, or methods.
In Europe there are no salvage components for this engine at all, and also all parts need to be ordere from USA (extra VAT and custom charges, long delivery) So the build shall be planned carefully to be ok on budget as well.

Collectively we've all done a lot of rebuilds, but I'm not sure I've ever seen anyone do a water damage rebuild. That doesn't mean that you can't get some help, there are some very talented people here on the forums.

How did the engine sustain water damage

I do not really trust ssleeving on this type of engine. In the Hemi engines the piston goes really low, out of the cylinder. So there will be no support at the bottom for the sleeve. Redeye/Demon block has no orderable part number as new. Or do you have one?

Thank you! I am on the way to set up different plans. I have built a lot of BMW engines, stroker race engine as well, several 5.7 HEMI engines. But for 5.7 still I can find block used in Europe. But for regular Hellcat it is impossible, and now I need redeye/demon block, so no dreams I have .
