I was thinking the same thing....sitting in the sun a lot. But if you look closely at it, looks to me like its not warped but instead it split along the top. The rest is still clipped inside the door.
Seems like cheap plastic that doesn't hold up to the sun...not what you want in a car interior...
Wasn't gonna' be that guy. Though I DID think it. . There's just no excuse for that. I'd be royally pissed. Then; you gonna keep brand loyalty with quality like that? Come-on, really. That's Hugo sh*& right there.
Last summer I detailed a customers 17 Charger. It's a 6 cylinder car. Nothing special. I noticed this on his passenger side rear dear panel. I thought maybe he did something accidentally like slide something through the rear window and it damaged the panel. But I guess it's happening to other cars as well. I'd be livid.
My wife has a 2017 Charger Hellcat and that has never happened to hers. Granted she never lets it sit in the sun for long though, its garage kept except when she needs to go somewhere.
I bought a new 2013 Charger R/T that is not garage kept and no problem with the door panels after 138,000 miles. Must be some QC problems but so far I’ve been lucky with both my Chargers
Only on the passengers side? Idiots sitting out the window, or leaning in on the POS plastic. Or endless amounts of sweat and BO from folks cruising with the windows down to let everyone hear their beats. Or let's pry the door skin off while we're high to install those awesome Monkey-Shit made in China after market speakers dog! Still, could be a symbol of the really don't give a **** attitude given to some of the non-mechanical systems of this car.
Is it the window or the plastic panel?? I had mentioned concerning the winder in past post, but not the panel. The window drops to keep the cabin from being pressure trapped in which blows the rear windshield seal out. That is why the window cracks down by opening the door. I have that happen on a Z28. Pressure blew the rear wind shield seal out.Great for pressure cabin but not for easls. Just wondering if the 2 had a similar affect.
Challenger is garage kept but when it’s out, the tints are so dark, I don’t think anything will ever get through to cause any damage, especially like that
