Well, it was expensive, but best alternative I could find vs. trying to stick it in the net pocket or laying it in the seat.

Pro Clip stuff. 75 bucks. Not the most I've spent on simple stupid gizmos but it still hurts.

Why not just plug it in the center console USB and leave it in there? Android Auto & Car Play does everything you need to mess with in the car right on the 8.4 screen anyways. The mount is a better solution than just throwing it on the seat though.

I've never used the Car Play b4 , maybe I should check it out.

I also like using Map Quest on my phone better than the cars Nav. so this Pro Clip makes it nice to see the phone real easy.

MapQuest is still a thing? I haven't used MQ since the days when you had to print the directions out at home and take them with you on the trip! Now I feel old. I don't know about MQ, but Google Maps, Waze, and Apple Maps will display everything right on the 8.4 screen and announce directions thru your car speakers. No need to look at your phone.

Maybe I'm wrong ?... what ever it is that comes on my iPhone MQ or Google Maps ? hell I'm not sure LOL.

Ok, I totally get that! I constantly have to jump back in my Charger to grab my phone out of the console (usually while swearing). Not an issue in my new Ram since it has a nice, visable spot for my phone to sit in the gigantic center console.

That works fine for phone calls and texts, but not for using the phone's nav on the 8.4 screen. Especially for us poors that don't have the factory nav.

Well my man you should have not given that gal the $900 ring and spent the $$$ on your #1 possession. Your car. How are you supposed to talk to your gal when the phone don't work. Good excuse for staying at DD a bit longer. Damn son, take the reins of this car and get what you want. may be single like me, but the phone works.

I like the Pro Clip in my Charger. I got the version that you can install a charging cord in its base. I just slide my phone in and it charges, connects to car play and I can see it. No fiddling with wires. Ran the charging cord back to the USB in the console.

I am sure that works well. There are a couple different ways with the USB connections all over the car. if not,, run another one. Good.

I installed a Proclip setup in the Grand Cherokee TH, which works great!

In my HC Charger, I run an Arkon floor mount gooseneck. Works like a charm

Guess for most...its a useful gadget ...I carry a flip phone..I've never had a passenger..coffee cup..or anything in the car ever..the HC...my wifes been in it four times...twice to the ice cream joint down the street...I wont even let her eat a cone in the car..we stand outside...she thinks that's ridiculous
