Thanks for let me in the club! Lol. The reason for joining is because I’m getting ready to pull the trigger on a 2015 Challenger hellcat. This car has been in a climate controlled garage It’s entire life. It has 218 miles on it. So I need opinions. I know I have to replace the tires. I know I have to change the oil, however what do you guys think about having to flush the radiator and the transmission (six speed manual) Would you change all the fluids? Do you think it would be OK to put new tires on it and drive it with the original oil in it to a shop to have all these things changed because I can’t do it here. I hate to have it towed here and then towed to a shop. I’m not gonna drive it much with 10 year old tires on it and this time of year, probably not at all until the salt is gone off the roads. Anyway, I could use some opinions from people who know better than I do! Thanks.
Welcome! Please be careful of the fuel and tires. Some years ago, I bought a used car, PT Cruiser. I was driving home, about 80 miles and kept losing tire pressure, luckily, I keep emergency items in my car and had an air pump. I made it home and the next morning, the tire was flat. Went to Discount Tire, had a bad valve stem and tire. The tire was 10 years old, but the car was 2 years old! Also, had a flat tire on my trailer and it was about 8 years old. I learned my lesson, NEVER use a tire over 6 years old. Don't forget, the valve stems can go bad, as well, always change them out.
