Very helpful with the pictures @vortecd, thank you. If you have any other pics or tips, I’d appreciate if. Wonder if it’s the same room etc to work with as on the challenger

Most of my projects are done on the weekend and rarely is my car down for a period of time doing them. I would think a challenger would be about the same. We did headers on a 13 mustang in almost half the time

I removed that damn black plastic box on the passenger side fender that the harness goes through. Makes doing coils and plugs /much/ easier--I imagine it would help with doing headers also.

They should be here tomorrow, I have most the car blown apart because of supercharger getting ported, having to do plugs, and having to fix chiller 3 way valve leaks (again). Vibrant must have had a bad batch of AN fittings because every one of them is leaking. No way I over torqued them

Can’t move the alternator/coil wire harness because on the challenger that sensor that’s behind the alternator is in that same loom and splits right at the end of the valve cover so no play. Had alternator off before, not doing that again lol

Tight. I did not use anti seize. I reused the factory bolts instead of those stage 5s because you will have a hell of a time getting those clips on with the engine in. I also bought stock gaskets because headers normally come with junk but the kooks do have good gaskets. I bought some longer 1/4 gearwrenches and other sockets I thought might help. The hardest part is breaking them loose in some tight spaces. I just tighten them the best I could. I have have not had any leaks. 2 sets of hands goes a long way if someone on top and cant see the bolt or being on the bottom to help get sockets or wrenches on

Thanks for all the tips! I got factory gaskets and new factory hardware, just in case there’s issues with the old bolts. I think they’re either supposed to be 20 or 40ft lbs, but I’ll just do as tight as I can (without pulling threads out of the heads)
