I've tried to find as much information as I can on the weights of these tires and wheels.

@vortecd something's not adding up somewhere maybe you can help. Your Forgestar F14 in 18x5 with a M&H 28x4.5 Racemaster tire weighs 34lbs? If the tire is 16lbs that would make your wheel 18lbs. However on Forgestars website they show a 18x9.5 weighing 17.6lbs so I'm surprised a larger wheel weighs less if that's correct. Also the Race Star 92 that I run claim to be 18lbs but with the same M&H 28x4.5 Racemaster tire mine weigh 38lbs. Where are the 4lbs coming from? Maybe my Race Star 92 wheels weigh 22lbs but that 25% more than all quoted weights I've seen. What front tire are you putting on the 17s? I don't know what a MT radial is.

I'm kicking myself for not weighing those wheels when I got them. Lesson learned.
Your racestars are 3-4 lbs more then the f14s each. My racestar m&h combo weighed 38 lbs on my scale also. Seemed on my scale the 18 f14 with the m&H was somewhere around 34.6-35 lbs then. I have a new scale and the f14 weight 34.1 lbs. On the same scale the 17x5 f14 weigh 16.7 lbs and the M/T ET street fronts 27x6 17 weigh 15.4 lbs

I put 2 10 lbs dumb bells on the scale and was 19.8 lbs so seems close

I'm thinking I wanna stay with 18" wheels. What made you want 17s?

I'm going to lighter front brakes so I can go down to a 17. Plan was going to the hoosiers which the 17 combo would be 28 lbs.

At some point I will weigh Jons front combos. He has 17" f14s with the hoosiers and 18" f14 with the m/t radials. From what I have seen they should 28 and 37 lbs

I'm pretty sure a 17" will fit the Demon 170, I just didn't think it was really any lighter than the 18 and since 18s will fit more Hellcats I thought that was the way to go?

A BS Win Lite and Hoosier Race tire the 17" setup is 2 pounds lighter than the 18" setup. 25 VS 27

Not a lot of weight savings. In the scheme of things $1000 isn't a lot of money to change things up. If you were to go with my new setup you will be around 10 lbs weight savings and if you went with a bias tire would be close to 20 lbs

I had those racestars a few months and sold them. They are to heavy and the lugnuts are a joke. Spent a lot of time looking for used fronts and did find some good deals but nothing was close to me so they are out there if you don't want to pay for new

I use the f14s front and rear. I’ve weighed mine with the et street front and 315/50r17 on the rear. Pics are on here somewhere
