Like I said in the other thread:

Stellantis is desperate, no direction, no leadership, sinking ship, grasping at straws. Good move but likely much too late. At least for us.

My question is what was Developed at beta design level in secrecy prior to the ultimate ax dropping, like when it was decided they were going electric route after LA series is done. Is there anything developed or at least in conceptual cad drawing with engineering numbers crunched or would everything be from scratch. Find hard to believe 1000 engineers didn’t have something cooking.

The original hellcat engine was done in complete secrecy and blindsided the automotive world. I find it very difficult to believe That Tim Kuniskis didn’t have at least a Skunk Works program with a small team of Engineers working something as they knew the LA series with Gen 3 Hemi would end. No way would they sit on their hands don’t believe that for a moment. It would have only taken the Stellantis green light funding to go to the next level. There has to be something on prototype parts shelf and Cad computers.

I read somewhere that a new Magnum engine is now under rushed development.

Wishful thinking but a small all Aluminum twin turbo Hemi with wet sump or dry sump version that could go into a lighter platform Challenger, Charger, and yes a new Viper to compete with new Vette. Cast Iron version for Ram truck.
“F… all“ If GM and Furd can be tossing big coin at new Engine development is that not enough of an indicator that the feasibility and marketing justification has been determined and established. Turn the goddamn lights back on in Auburn hills get the Engineer’s back and working OT there is a hungry market out there if European hand cuffs were to be taken off.

The other problem is, the muscle car generation, now able to spend $ before they die, won't be around for long. It looks to me that there is no one (interested and able to buy) to follow. They were riding a wave, and instead of taking it to the beach, they aborted, betting on the Hornet. 4-5y down the road. I do not see many replacing us hard core fans. Betting on a SC Hemi in 2012 might/was a great idea. Taking the same gamble in 2025 is not a smart bet.

Not what I see, unfortunately. From what I see, most young people don't have a clue, and those that might, love rice burners or BMW's. :(

Are you saying I am wrong??? Or are you deflecting my statement with insults without providing a credible response?

Plenty around here but there's a bunch of Mustangs, Camaros and Challengers running around at the same time they might not be GT500s or Hellcats but still hot rods for the kids.

I'm certainly sure he has constraints on what he can...and cannot do...He has to formulate a comprehensive plan to produce numbers...which may or may not include rejuvenation of an SRT division...or if so what form it would take..

That could very well be...keep in mind..even a resurrection of SRT..and the return of the Hemi is not gonna be enough to build a strong customer base
