Just spreading the word. A friend of mine told me he's thinking about selling his Challenger. It supposedly has about 1,500 miles on it, it's Granite, has always been garaged (has to be or it'd melt, he's in Lake Havazu).

Called my friend today to find out his current feelings about selling. Okay, so it has very low mileage and has always been in a climate controlled garage in Arizona, but...

Basically, he doesn't want to lose money on it, somehow thinking they've increased in value. Of course, it's a very nice car (ignoring the dually fenders), but is it worth just over $90K these days? I doubt it.

Did you go get that blade (if I remember correctly)? That town is where my wife spent part of her childhood (if I remember where you went to get it right). If I had free time I'd have driven up there and met you.

Yep, made it to Levelland and back. Somehow.

It was 104 degrees along the way. Of course, we hit 90 yesterday, which must be a record. At least I've never seen it that hot before.

Agree. If we compare low temps, it's not half bad here. It's been quite a while since they got into the 30s, but 40s and 50s is still decent.

Not enough to get the house down to my preferred 55 degrees at night, but close.

You must have missed a few of the previous posts, like that it was 90 the other day. Today it's a much more tolerable 70 by the way.

Also, it's not uncommon to to have a 50 degree swing between the low in the morning and the high in the afternoon.

In an ideal world the thermometer would get stuck at 55 or 60, then go down at night.

Can make it interesting to take off in the Challenger in the morning, at maybe 25 degrees, then lose several more by gaining altitude.

By the time I get to the lower elevations an hour or so later the tires finally warm up...but by then the roads tend to be straight so the traction isn't needed as much.
