I had GY Wranglers on my Ram when it was new and they did pretty good for the first few years and then I replaced those with the worst tires I've ever owned...Nitto Terra Grappler 2! Awful tires and suck major ass in the snow and I will never buy them again. I love my Blizzaks for winter and the Nitto 420s for summer as we get quite a bit of rain

People can't stop because most people are heavy on the pedal until they are AT the intersection then stomp on the brakes! This causes the snow to be compressed, melt, then refreeze, and after a couple dozen people, the 200' before the intersection is all ice! I had to re-program my wife's driving, one was "Slow down BEFORE you reach the intersection". Another was (and sometimes still is) "see all those brake lights and stopped traffic ahead? Consider taking your foot off the gas now."
That's how I drive in the summer, too, not wanting to come to a complete stop unless I have to.

Of course, it's mostly the 3500 that gets subjected to stoplights and stop signs, and its exhaust brake makes it easy to hardly having to use the brakes at all. Basically, if I have to use the brakes it's because I screwed up, or didn't expect someone else to do what they did.

I only have about $2.50 because I just bought two sets of tires, one set for the DSRT, and one set for the PW, and I need another set for the other Durango AND another set for the HC...

When it rains it pours I guess.
Yeah, this has been a tired year.

New drive tires for the 3500, new Contis for the GT AWD, new tires for the horse trailer, new tires for the 35' gooseneck, new tires for the Durango, and much better tires for her 3500..

And it's not over yet. Her RSQ8 will get Michelins before the winter arrives, What it came with would not play well with snow. And rightfully the Challenger should also get new ones (probably Firestones again) since those are getting elderly, but that can wait until spring. I hope.

Michelins are the way to go.

Not the only way necessarily, but the Pilot Sport All Season 4 is one of the very few with any kind of actual all season performance in a 295/40R22.

And even then, they're not the correct speed rating. But that doesn't bother me, just like it doesn't with the Challenger's tires. We just don't have the need to sustain 160 mph at max GVWR. Or the roads for that matter.

Speaking of raining.

This should be right up your alley, 1971. My favorite dealer has $16K off on a '24 1500 Laramie. Of course, MSRP is almost $70K, so it's still not cheap for a car...even if it has a little bed on the back.
