So it seems WNY (Buffalo) has been deemed one of the most advantageous places to view the upcoming eclipse...city county and state officials have lost their collective minds...schools are closed..city hall and most govt.agencies will be closed..most downtown businesses will be closed...electronic bill boards post warnings all over the county...the local news has bombarded us for over three weeks now...last night Buffalo's Mayor was on TV warning and advising people not to wait to shop for food and essentials..(are ya fucking kidden)..and now our illustrious state Gov. has issued (or is prepared to) a state of emergency..and has banned any and all type of road construction in the region..media sources are making wild predictions of up to a million or more viewers descending on the city...and if the hype and hysteria isn't bad enough..it's reported some local hotels are cancelling prior reservations....and offering those rooms that normally run 100/200 per nite..for as high as 1400.00... CALL OUT THE NATIONAL GUARD...

We felt a minor one here In Michigan about 35 years ago. It felt like a heavy person ran down the hall upstairs.

I was driving back to work and speaking with my daughter.
She said my whole house is shaking, can you hear everything clanking?

I am driving my F350 Dually Diesel, so No I didn't feel it or hear her house noise over my cell.
My sister who is closer to Philly sent me a text, she felt it too.

Well, the quake starter in Bedminster NJ, which BTW is about 20 miles from Trumps Golf course.

I "lived" through 2 east coast quakes. Didn't know they were quakes at all until I heard the wacko extremist over-sensationalized newscast. It felt like a dump truck drove by.

We had a partial eclipse a few years ago, it was pretty cool. The wife and I watched through welding helmets. It got dark like after sunset (it was mid-day). Definitely something you want to see once in your life.

We will be a partial on Tues, unfortunately forecast is cloudy. I expect it’ll get dark though. Pretty cool to have 2 so close together.

They've got road signs up flashing messages about not parking on berm of roads around here in NW Ohio! They weren't there yesterday but were when I came into work at 1:30 this morning
Our home is directly under the center of the path in NW Ohio so I guess when the world ends we'll be the first to go?
