My mother has a chest freezer in her basement...my father bought it new a year after he built the house...1958...it finally quit last year...I'm not makin this up...it's too freakin big and heavy to drag it upstairs...I was 5 when they bought it...

Numbers are in CAD so a lot less in USD.

Also, the invoice is from an insurance affiliated body shop, not the dealer so it's possible they might have padded the numbers.

However, CAD parts have been known to sometimes be wildly inflated compared to US prices and we sometimes can spend less after duty and shipping by buying in the US than buying at the Canadian list price.

Hold my beer….I am still using a 1939 GE fridge as my garage beer fridge. Have to manually defrost it 2-3 times a year, but keeps on cooling.

I can remember when you changed out appliances it was because you were updating the kitchen. Not because they were broke.
They were the best source for garage and rental property fridges, ovens and dishwashers.

I got a beer for everyone to hold too. My Dad bought this radio in the ‘60’s to use for listening to the police radios during the shit that was going on in our cities then. It still works for me today in my garage, set to 92.5 FM KQRS here in the Twin Cities. Has been doing that for that last 32 years and will continue to be my garage entertainment system. Still sounds good enough.

Samsung appliances in our house are all falling a part, and I mean literally and they're barely 10 years old. Pathetic. Stove digital readout went blank about 2 years ago ($180 replacement part cost so nope), oven doesn't cook things right, and now the infinite switches for the burner eyes have gone out and only have high temperature settings. Complete garbage for a 10 year old appliance.

True, same here. Not buying a Samsung TV again, remote has gone out here on a high rent model, they have horrible bluetooth performance, and the one in Colorado has extremely slow response to its’ junker remote. They can keep the “above average” priced Thermador shit also that we used when remodeling the kitchen in 2018. NOT worth it.
