Sounds like someone at Bradenton ran an 8.98 at almost 150mph.
Once these things loosen up a bit they will only get faster

They are driving buy me all the time hitting the upfitters
Young kids
My ass puckers knowing the value / power of them

Sounds like the 8.98 run car had full interior, minus sub woofer, and 270 miles on the clock so no race options. They used a tuner to perform torque reduction to get off the line or something to mimic the race feature they say.

why can't everyone leave them stock and see what they can do for awhile. Upping shift points is a big adjustment. Dodge may have had the car shifting higher and brought the shifts down for production

From Facebook:
My buddy Lee Saunders out there with his 170 today down in Florida
Update post track session:
Car only has 270 miles on it so they did use tuning to adjust rpm shifts from 6,300 to 6,600 and also adjusted the torque management since it couldn’t do that part without 500 miles on the clock. No timing or boost was adjusted. They swapped the front wheels/tires out and pulled the Harmon Kardon subs out to dump weight but they left the seats in it.
Car cut 2 back to back 1.23 60’ and went 8.9x 3 of the 4 runs. The first pass was without any trans tuning and went 9.07 which is super impressive, especially for not being a 1 seater! DA was around 400. 1.23 60’s were achieved with a 1k foot brake and converter flash on the leave. Trans brake hasn’t been unlocked yet.
Will post the time slips, pics, and a video once I receive them.

I think the Legions “RULES” are that if you are to be considered legit in the record quest… you can’t do anything that would void the warranty.

If they pull your black box can't they tell you were racing and void the warranty? These 170s aren't warranted for racing, are they?

Well… they do have a warranty and I assume in this case that includes racing as long as you don’t crack the computer. Raising the shift points would definitely void the warranty. End of story as far as this being the first 8.

Unlocking to access it voids the warranty?

After thinking about it….. racers should be able to tune their cars. Otherwise you ain’t doing nothing. Understood that the factory warranty is voided but if somebody wants to get the most out of a otherwise stock engine/driveline combination then that’s a legit thing to do. It’s still the factory package that came with the stock powertrain parts. Being leaned on without being modded will show the full capability of the package. As long as somebody doesn’t deny doing it then hell yea. How fast will it go with the stock motor. Legions could think about that as a category. It would be interesting to be able to compare the performance gains going from showroom stock to tuned.

Other then beating the record stock tuning what you have is also good. See how much they left on the table
