I think that the Legion of Demons group might want to get together and make a ruling on what qualifies and what disqualifies a car from stock when claiming a record. At least at their events. It would be nice to have some standard if anybody is going to care about who does what. It seems like in the past it was ok to reduce weight as long as the engine remained untouched as well as the ECU. Wheels, tires, batteries, seats weren’t considered mods. I don’t have a dog in the fight so its all just entertainment, but somebody should set some rules to keep the bickering to a tolerable minimum.
As I recall, there was a stink about a Demons that were ordered with a full interior and taking the passenger and rear seats out at the Legion event, not sure what the outcome was. I hope there is less drama than with the OG.

That would eliminate the internet bitching and multiple "stock record holder" titles.
This shit is the new LS1 tech LOL.
"I have the fastest stock Demon with a race seat and weld wheels"
"I have the fastest stock Demon on Hoosier tires"
"I have the fastest stock Demon with a sunroof"

Car is purely stock. Tires are gone, can only be replaced with factory tires. Same with brakes, belts etc.
Someone thinks you are tuned/modded, file a protest and a tear down must happen to prove stock engine/trans. Just like the NHRA stock racers have to deal with.
Otherwise, its just bragging rights for forums and facebook and an audience of about 50 people.
Draining windshield wiper fluid and/or removing reservoir
Removing windshield wipers and motor
Lightweight battery
Removing hardware from throughout the vehicle that would otherwise go unnoticed
The rules above don’t work, they assume that people will follow rules.
Weigh a 1 seat no option factory Demon 170 and set a weight requirement accordingly - also enforcing the rules above to keep the weight located largely where it was from the factory.

I shouldn't bag on the guys actually using their cars though. The worst are the ones who never go to the track but talk like they know everything. Demon brought out a lot of assclowns like that.
