When my original went boom, my buddy helped me swap in the RE motor and surprisingly he did it out the top. I questioned it but he said something about AC lines or something and didn't wanna have me need to get expensive refrigerant to refill. I'm not sure if that's a thing or not but he's a master tech and I'm just a back yard goof so... Took about 4 hours I think.

Unfortunately all the AC needs to be evacuated due to the killer chiller. I'm also learning today that the motor won't be removed in a timely fashion. I'm completely at a loss here. It's gonna be another month before anything gets resolved.

Just a nightmare and I want out of it so bad, was thinking of just taking an extreme loss and getting rid of it all for like 50k. I don't have a lot of mental bandwidth left to keep getting screwed left and right.

unbolt compressor an move to the side out of the way, helps if someone is holding away as you lift body.
very, very doable. no need to open system. myself, Hpindy, an DemonSRT have done it that way.

Yep, enough flex in the hoses. I have had the compressor out before, transmission, and engine stripped down basically a short block. It’ll come out

Idk, @Hatermkr also said you can get the oil pan off without having to undo motor mount and jack up the engine, which is a negative 😉

Yep, my buddy said it would likely damage the lines. I took his word for it as he's much more an expert than I.

You can just take the two bolts out the rack and it comes right out

Undid the oil pickup tube while it was in the pan, not enough room to clear crossmember because you have to tilt the pan forward and the back top of the pan hangs up on the block - need like 1” extra clearance to get it out

It isn’t now, was at the time but I don’t remember it hitting it or that preventing it from coming out

Wasn’t a big deal, 4 bolts on mounts and wood/jack on passenger motor mount to lift it up a bit. But would not come out with the rack dropped
