Chrysler prodded dealers to absorb glut of 40,000 unordered cars

Yeah I got my RE January 16th 2019. Missing out on the power dollars sucks, but I would have also been hit really hard on my 15" HC M6 trade in too, and wasted most if not all the racing season this year. So for me, it's hard to say they likely would have offered me $4k-$8k less if I traded in for an RE 8 months later. I got my car at invoice in January, I'm happy with that and have enjoyed my first season racing it. I have two friends that bought in June and July and missed out on the power deals. One by only 2 weeks. I feel really bad for them, but such is life.

Things in the car world change all the time, all you can do is buy when you think it's best!

On a positive note I am glad FCA didn't come out with a Demon killer in 2020 and completely screw us over. Kind of glad all I've seen is sticker pkg/WB crap for 2020. Feel bad for the 2020 guys, but happy that I at least get a year before something better MAY come out. At this rate it's looking like FCA is trying to hold on a bit longer until they have time to refresh the platform. Even at a platform refresh, no guarantee it's going to top what we have now!

So enjoy your rides, you already have paid for them!

Go to the dealer and see what you can do. I bought an ‘18 Charger HC in Oct ‘17. I signed papers this weekend for a new one. The dealers were coming off of MSRP even more than HP dollars. I was shocked I had positive equity in my Charger HC too.

On topic: I got EP on my car and the selling dealership offered me $1000 CDN for my TBSS. Obviously a non-starter. So, yeah - they make it back somewhere... my loss was on the extended warranty.

Thanks for confirming - I don't imagine my wife would appreciate finding that in my search history/targeted Google ads. Best to avoid going there unless I want to hold my second bachelor party there.

Hickster up date. Dropped the car off to be tweeked and back louvers installed. Then new painter to finish. Joe, owns his shop for over 30years. He strictly works on BJ projects. He has spent all week working on 1 bumper, chroming, for a show in Daytona this weekend. Then he will finish my minor engine areas. He has never done this but the best person to do it. Also the center covers on the wheels will be silver, black and red. Then fun part. The aluminum tube that extends from the cold intake into the hemi cover. Has these fins which will be time consuming. Should take a week. Then what??? Cut the top off?? Oh, and the emblems are to be sanded and re sprayed color unknown. My last Harley chopper, I said I would never get into this again. Leave it alone, want a change,,,, order the damn thing.
