Let’s talk about reliability tunes and tunes that provide safety and at the same time results at the track. These screenshots are not one of them. This car had a simple pulley combo which should have lived a happy life. Instead its transmission went out and engine blew up from this tune. He finally said enough was enough and we are now retuning his car to not only be safer but it will be faster. This is not the first time a customer has called us and the file we are sent looks similar to this.

If your tune looks anything like this reach out for a retune!

First up here is the timing table. We like to see these smooth. This thing has a lot of up and downs and steep transitions. But this isn’t the worst part of the tune

Next up the customer said he wanted a safe reliable tune. Well the knock sensors were disabled maxing them out at 5V

Oncoming Clutch Pressure are lowered. These are important to not burn up transmisstions. These provide nice firm shifts and should be raised especially in a modded vehicle.

I tried to model my timing table like the factory engineers curve, just raised in all points possible. The 3d graph feature of HP Tuners is underutilized for sanity checks.

Don't get me wrong it doesn't have to be perfect and they can be shaped slightly different. Even factory isnt perfectly smooth. But it doesnt have to be. You just don't want the pic above.
