Feel defeated, these covers are just as shitty to put on as the other ones were to take off. In the video above the guy uses some 1/4" drive voodoo that I don't have. Will be bright and early at home depot to get robbed of some money for 1/4" drive extension and i don't have 1/4" hex sockets However there is already plenty of room already!

@16GoManGoHC2 not only pulled over the covers but pulled the heads off not long ago. Sure he has tips on doing this

Just plain old Craftsman 1/4” drive extensions and a universal joint on a flex head ratchet. Putting the heads back on in the car was a real PITA, mostly because I chose to bolt the exhaust manifolds on after getting the heads on and torqued. Drivers side not bad but the passenger side was a pain. Took me 3 days to get it back together. So far no signs of head lift, I’m back to 17 degrees of timing with 21-22 psi from the 2.4, will be going back to the Whipple soon, 5.90 60-130 just not w quick enough for me, 5.25-5.40 felt better, hoping for 4.99 with the ported heads, At least once!!

Where'd you find them? 👀
Home depot for the 1/4" hex drivers. Husky brand. For the extensions, Harbor Freight, ICON brand. 1/4" Drive torque wrench is Pittsburg. The flex head ratchet is OEM tools.

I thought the whole reason to get those covers was so you could flip the coils over and put the plug on the top like a 5.7? The plugs are what gave me issues trying to unplug a couple were a pain
Not at all, these are to remove that goof as fuck baffle so you can remove coils and plugs easily. I've never had an issue with unplugging, use ya fingys and squeeze. I can remove the coil packs and plugs in less than five minutes now. I am pleased with it so much. Dreading the driver side, I have to disassemble the power steering system as the reservoir covers part of the valve cover... fml.

Just got done with drivers side. Making my new AN lines for the catch can. Easy day. This is what I was referencing @vortecd for space. Also use a mirror and inspect your gasket before and after torque sequence. Final result at 97in. Lb.

Semi buttoned up. New an lines on driver side. Spent 48 hours thrashing, wouldn't have it any other way. Time for bed, gonna do the coolant side during the week.

I've already beat you, you just dont know it yet.

“glue” as in use adhesive… no. To get the gasket to stay while positioning I used petroleum jelly aka vaseline. A tiny dab in the crevice made it light work. If all else fails, anaerobic rtv 😂
