Tazer as anti theft - vehicle lockdown

Did any of you see this new use of a Tazer? Vehicle lockdown mode looks interesting. It's starting with the Ram DT, but he says Challenger and Charger are coming very soon.
Granted we don't have e-brakes, so I'm curious what this would do for a Challenger and Charger.

I don’t like the way that is public now to clear the PIN. That needs to change before we could trust this, because the thieves will know that routine. Otherwise I like it at first glance. Thanks TD!

Well...I'll stick with a double locked alarmed video protected garage when not in use...and never park it where I can't see it when in use...the luxury of not using any of them as a daily driver..others may need something such as this to keep the bad guys at bay...

Yep, I don’t need this for the Challenger because mine is like yours, under double cameras and an alarmed security system. But a certain new Durango may need this little item, because it is going to sit at lots of nasty places including our airport parking ramps.

I figure I have a Tazer from long ago and would update my firmware to use this depending on how it stops the vehicle. We don't have an e-brake.
Mine is not used as a commuter vehicle very often at all but it happens on good days enough to cheer me up.
Yes, it can be deactivated. It takes time and increases the chances the thief will just leave without the vehicle though.

The only way they drain the battery is if you leave them engaged. Say you have key on doing the cool down and just turn the key off, that will drain the battery being you didn't stop the cool down 1st

It was just mapped into the buttons and left overnight. Next day at the track it was dead. Good thing I had a battery charger.

Then it stopped working.

My thought is it was engaged. I only had it happen once because it was on. I keep it hooked up all the time and have had no issues

I use the internal OEM control and have never had a battery problem. Use it 4-5x per day when we road course it.

Probably. I never had a problem with the burnbox. I no longer use either.

My Burn Box killed my battery. I did turn off the functions, however I left it plugged into the OBDII Port. I do like the thought of this though, however time will tell if it's effective.

How long did it take to kill the battery?

I had a Taser kill my battery once while at the Colorado Mile, it was 8-ish hrs from evening to morning.

It was no longer than a day or two.
