I remember rolling around Bogota in a white armored Suburban back years ago and almost immediately feeling my false sense of security disappear after recalling the rooftop RPG scene from
Clear and Present Danger...
Looking through the windshield would make you sure from the fishbowl effect, doors were incredibly heavy (obviously!) and didn't open all the way and the windows wouldn't go all the way down either, couldn't accelerate, brake or corner for shit. Outside of POTUS' limo maybe, the primary purpose of armored vehicles is to make people feel important and provide them with a likewise false sense of security.
I did NOT mind the armored vehicles that DSS had in one of the umpteen F&F movies however...
