Some good suggestions. I'm betting I can just snatch it off the car by myself but would rather have a second set of hands to keep me honest. I was planning to put a couple bath mats around the fenders as a just in case.

I have a NIB never openned 20 ft lift 1 ton C&M chain hoist, $300 if anyone wants it. Also have a ARO Flammable liquids pump, $300 also, will pump anything from Gasoline, Ethanol to gear oil to water to air, pneumaticly operated and throttle-able, self priming from 13 ft below, both of these items over 600 each new. No need for them. image.jpg 4FBC1C27-147E-41F0-86CD-9241FC9E9E0C.jpeg 3A0BBB53-801B-4D02-86AE-B95C8E4BE23F.jpeg 28107D92-C396-4BFE-BDBC-10D1F3EEA9AE.jpeg E86C0E34-0141-4213-80A7-0F338EE609AE.jpeg

I don’t know there after one of your last posts about how you felt just crawling around on the floor sounds like you haven’t been to the gym much lately, that 100 lb supercharger might be a little much for you anymore? sounds like you’re getting old and soft there Marine??

Have a like new set of already indexed plugs for next time. They’ll go back in the new plug boxes that the new ones came in numbered by cylinder for next time. 15$ tool from Harbor Freight works like a champ!!!

How do you keep them indexed? Using a washer or something?

I buy 20 plugs instead of 16, I put the plug in a marked socket with extensions marked to it so I know where the electrode is pointing. Put it in a cylinder and tq it to spec (14-15 ft lbs) and see where it’s at. If not facing where I want it I try a different plug and I try that plug in another cylinder, usually with the four extra you’ll find a combination that points towards the center or the intake valve somewhere between there is optimal. The set that I removed they go in those little wooden holders as I remove them so I know exactly where each plug came from, #1 front and rear plugs, cylinder two front and rear plug etc. and now after they’re cleaned they will go back in the plug boxes marked with the cylinder # and location F or R they came from so next time I use them they will tighten up to the same place again and be already indexed to where I don’t have to play musical plugs with them again. It’s really simple once you start doing it.

16 plugs with .028 gap ready for reuse someday maybe. Back in their boxes they will go in a bit with boxes marked which cylinders their contents are pre-indexed for.

It’s like a mini self contained sand blaster. It comes with a packet of super fine media that blasts them clean. Then blow them out good and done, ready to go again. All that was wrong with them was they were covered in MMT from just a half a tank of octane booster 1500 or 2000 miles ago, it doesn’t come off on its own, like I said only an abrasive will take it off, same inside your engine, O2 sensors, cats, everything.

I was always worried about a piece of silica getting stuck at the base of the ceramic and falling out during engine operation.

if there is a particle or two behind, they ain't gonna be there long! I have used one of these in the past and can also vouch they work great...one of the very few Harbor Freight POS tools I would buy. And, there are similar designs as the HF one for about $30-40 - Sunex being one

I chuck them in the lathe and blow them out with a needle jet of 150 psi of air, then spin them and hit them with air again. I’ve never reused them in my hellcat engine after cleaning yet, I don’t know if I would because they’re really not that expensive, but I’ll have them on hand just in case I’m poor someday lol. They where too like new to toss them, only 3800 miles on them. Their boxed and can sit for a long time if needed lol. It was more of an experiment of how clean would they get then anything else.
