Benefits of Bobs over typical?

Years ago, they did a video supposedly showing better collection.

But anymore most of the reputable brands have the guts that promote vapor condensation. (Which not all of them have/had)

They all aren't created equal for one thing.

Mounting location counts (cooler is better)

Even individual motors are going to be different as well.

I want to move mine to right behind the passenger headlight, away from the block.

I agree mounting it up on the fender on the passenger side right behind the headlight is better than right behind the supercharger pulley and right over the block/blower. There ends up just being a lot of heating of the whole unit by conduction up through the mount.

I have the UPR model, well thought out with respect to how to mount it and also ease of emptying. Just FYI:

I’ve always wondered if the the hoses in that configuration create a P-trap and need to be emptied occasionally. The installation video routes them down and up.

I have a UPR as well, fender mount. Doesn’t seem to catch as much as my JLT did. I’m thinking I may have had it hooked up ass backwards so I swapped it. I’ve got the 1 way check valve installed correctly. The UPR instructions say the silver port goes one way and the black the other. Mine doesn't seem to be marked so I swapped ends at my last oil change. Hopefully results either way.

What about a 50W 12vdc piezo-electric cooler on the bottom side of it with a bit of insulation?

Being that the condensed ethanol is crystal clear Probably not worth the headache, I’m ok with it recycling and re-burning it.

Sure, but reducing the other oil components to increase the capture is my goal.

If whatever CC regardless of mounting location is not doing the job, you will see residue inside the snout, looking through the TB. Mine is mounted with a clamp to the SC lid & the inside of the snout is clean & the CC is collecting oil.

. A properly designed catch can will relieve crankcase pressure and capture all oil vapor being released with that pressure with no return into the intake. That looks like this….. -10 lines (one from each valve cover) thru properly designed baffles that condense and contain the oil and fuel vapors and relieve the pressure thru the top (filter). It is located away from the heat. This accomplishes two important things. Crankcase pressure is a bad thing. It gets rid of it. Oil in the intake/combustion is a bad thing. It gets rid of it.

Same, this was intake of my blower when recently apart for coupling issue, inside of lid above blower outlet clean as well.
