Security update

Looks like the RF hub security update is available for the 2018's. Anyone have this done yet?

The RF Hub update is available and several people have had it done. Lots of threads about the RF Hub update. The enhanced Valet Mode is no longer available.

My dealer told me they can do it to my ‘19 Challenger RE now. They cautioned me that once it’s done (my fobs updated,etc) that if I lose a fob, they can’t create another. To get back to the same number of fobs as before the loss, I have to pay for a new module and buy all new fobs and then pay to have everything programmed again. Expensive. I can buy another fob or two now, beforehand, they’d program them along with the current factory stuff for free. Red one is the only one I use. The rest are locked in a safe. Might get an extra red one in case I would lose the one I usually use.

At the dealershits today andy not a clue, but their nature. I am walkin away from them and heading to Suncoast Chrysler in Seminole, Fl. Dave and company will take good care of e. Did the 1sts 3 years. Good mechanics.

I had my 2019 Redeye done a couple months ago. It was uneventful. I purchased 2 backup red fobs just in case. I did have my black fob done after it took me 2 weeks to find it.

Those are non eventual but all ways good to have when 1 FOB battery goes they all do the same.

I'm awaiting delivery of my 2 extra FOB's. The price the dealer wanted for them was ridiculous..

just got the notice for the '18 yesterday. waiting for Uconnect to extract their collective heads from the hind ends and get me the right replacement radio [57 weeks since the screen went bad, 2 incompatible radios later, still waiting for someone who can read to ship the right part] before I get it done. just in case, don't need more problems

Got my notice today. Not going to let them mess with a thing.

There are so many other ways I could prevent potential theft if I felt that it was warranted.
I'd probably start with locking the doors.

It's a little different here in Illinois.

The Illinois Lemon Law affords consumers the ability to seek a refund or replacement for their defective vehicle if the vehicle's manufacturer, through its authorized dealers, fails to repair a defect that substantially impairs the vehicle's use, value, or safety within a reasonable number of attempts.

after two hours, determined the new radio that came in was once again not compatible.
and re the security update - software/firmware patch for 2018's is not available yet

^^ They sent me the same notice about a week ago for my 18...if they don't have the patch, why would they do that????
