I go to one of my friend / client's businesses today. We sit down and discuss wills, trusts, and some contracts for commercial construction. Then he springs his new 2022 Convertible corvette on me. He was going in to buy a 2022 crew cab (very nice looking) and picked up a 24' hot rod hauler at the same time (also nice looking). He looks around showroom and says, you don't have any corvettes? Guy says, you're right, but we do have on that will be here in 4 days. Guy who ordered it backed out. My friend says I'll take it after seeing the color.
I go next to a tire shop managed by a good friend of mine (they repaired the tire on the trailer my employees messed up). Wanted to see what he had to say after looking at it, as well as check in with him, don't see him as much anymore since I am not swapping tires on the Hellcat anymore. He declares "for the first time in my driving life I do not have a corvette." This guy and his wife owned matching vettes as long as I've known them, plus a SS for her as a daily, and truck for him. The sold all four, drove 400 miles one way and bought a 3000 mile virtually unused HELLCAT DURANGO (what I would LOVE to have). Day after they came back, they went by the Dodge dealer in a nearby town, told the salesmen, "you don't have any TRX's?" He says, right here, around the corner. So he bought that one. HCD is destroyer gray with red accented black stripes. TRX is electric blue or whatever they call it.
