My 2015 M6 HC has only 6k on it but since it’s still on its original battery I’m thinking it’s probably not long for this world. I searched a few threads including this one. Post #43 has my interest. @vortecd , how’s this one working out for you? I always maintained my battery on a CTEK, I’ve just got to confirm it is suitable for this type of battery. Any other suggestions guys, the car is a weekend driver and spends lots of time garaged as I’m in NY, I’d still like to save as much weight as monetarily possible. No DCR’s for me. Thanks.

The DCR battery is a really good battery . Definitely worth the money . I have a antigravity battery at the moment and I like it so far . The DCR was out of stock at the time I needed a battery .

Looks like my CTEK is not recommended for charging lithium batteries, so that sucks.

Not a single issue with mine. The DCR battery comes in at around 9 lbs and it cost over $700. Mine was under $400 and weighs 15 lbs. So if that 6 lbs is worth $300 I guess that is up to you. So the difference is 30 lbs to 36 lbs weight savings.

These batteries turn the car over way faster and have a lot more energy which ever you choose

@ACMAVRO is it a direct bolt in, I’d have to go through both threads to determine but I think the op in one of the threads needed to fabricate a bracket? I see the next model battery up, the 27-66, is a little longer with more cca’a and 54ah. That may bolt right in, I’d have to measure mine.

Yeah I was thinking about getting the bigger one. @vortecd is having success with his. I was just going to add a bracket like he did. It already has 1100cca when my stock one is just 730

Guess Im better off with the smaller battery and putting the 100.00 towards a new CTEK that will handle the lithium battery. Thanks guys.

It is apparent to me where my loyalty and patriotism would live and die for. Why would anyone want to support the Communist China Military by purchasing a product from THOSE COMMIE BASTARDS ! If guys are so concerned about reducing weight maybe they should consider losing that spare tire they have at their belt line. I would be more inclined to buy an AGM battery that is manufactured in the USA than to support the Chinese Regime's military.

You buy chit from China and you're selling your soul to the devil in disguise. I know it is next to impossible to find products manufactured in the USA anymore, butt when you can why wouldn't you buy it to support your country. Then again you bought a car that isn't American made, made in Canada, owned by a European company , built with Communist Chinese sourced parts.

We were energy independent now we have dementia Joe begging OPEC to produce more oil. Transferring more of your wealth over seas.

Moe, while I certainly appreciate your sentiment I was curious, what’s your position on eating Chinese food? While it’s American made it certainly seems to present a conflict. Just curious.
