Some days I feel like an inbred Golden Retriever- hips, shoulder and back. Almost lost a kidney. 6 concussions. Very glad my son never played the game.

which sof group were you with out of curiosity?

I worked with 2 SEAL Teams including the famous one, 5th Special Forces Group, JSOC elements, numerous 3 letter agencies including the intelligence ones, and multiple embassies with US Dept of State. All in all I had a good run. I was a 38B, or active duty Civil Affairs (not to be confused with our non-SOF reservists). Because I was a Team Sergeant as well as a Special Operations Medic I was chosen to go to places where slots for personnel only allowed for a couple people to partner up with the other SOF units to get things done. So many amazing people out there doing incredible things that no one would believe all to keep freedom alive.

Nice, I can imagine the ups and downs but the experiences were probably great. I would say thank you for your service but knowing my dad and other team guys/operators most of em hate that kinda stuff Haha. Still good on you to share your experiences.

It's all good brother. Lots of ups and downs. Freedom is something sacred to me. That is why I get so angry when politicians (dems or repub for that matter) want to legislate everything to death. I was just glad I was able to do my small part, have crazy stories to share with family and friends (you should see my "I love me" room ) and share a camaraderie that most will never experience.

Sounds like most guys who have seen battle, the dislike for all politicians is real seeing as most of them are in it for their own personal gain. it's scary what's out there in the world, my uncle was a gb and my great uncle was in nam, all 3 of them definently love sharing the ups but like you know they all have stuff they would rather forget, just comes with the territory I suppose, "battle scars."

My biggest regret was not joining the teams for the camaraderie right after high school, parents pushed me to get a degree and see how I feel after so now here I am in year 4 of med school.

Anyway in the interest of the thread, enjoy the cat! I know I enjoy mine everyday at startup.
