I don't know about that McLaren making 1000 hp if it's getting pulled on a roll like that...

The Plaid is very impressive though, it has 3 motors and 1050hp/1050 tq so it's not like doesn't have a power advantage. What's so cool about the Plaid is it is apparently very easy to set up into it's fastest mode, and it's power doesn't fade much as the battery loses charge, two big problems with the older ones. The Plaid still gets too hot pretty easy though and can't run at it's fastest for very long, Car and Driver has never completed a Lightning Lap performance test without one overheating. The Porsche Taycan is the only electric car that has I think.

To D's point, the owner of the car says it will dust the old P100D at full charge when it, the plaid, is at 10%. That is a massive improvement in consistent power delivery.

And I am not saying it is the end all be all of autos, only that I give credit where credit is due. And that 720S is modded too. So there is not much to stand on with the old argument about costs.

I also feel that this again shows the complete ineffectiveness of RWD only, even more than the max torque delivery of the electric. Would love to see AWD McClaren or similar run the same race.

Honestly there probably isn't any of us on here that wouldn't think it was fun to drive. I drove a 2018 model s and I was shocked how hard it pulled. It will never replace our hot rods we have today but the car is impressive.

but this thing is a daily driver, off the factory floor. And it dusts, I mean obliterated a 1000hp Mclaren, arguably one of the nastiest modified street cars, not counting the underground lambos, or ams gtrs. But those things are insanely modified for race gas etc.

This Tesla just needs a charge, and fresh tires. Holy shit. I didn’t believe it until I saw it this time. Wow.

I mean, the pinnacle of combustion engines today and, that Tesla murdered it.

Idk it’s supposed to be the fastest dodge ever produced. Take that how you want compared to a demon and add awd. I’m curious what they’ll show us about it in 2022.
