Me? I haven’t wrapped anything yet, maybe Hpindy?
Some of your lines are wrapped with something.

yeah what @Hpindy said. Unless it came from the factory that way.
O, I thought you meant header wrap. The silver stuff? I wrapped the cabin AC line with aerospace insulation to keep condensation drips away and help return as cold as possible Freon gas to the compressor to keep it cool. I run a power chiller so trying to minimize as much cooling losses as possible. The intercooler coolant lines are also insulated with R5 3/4” Armorcell silicon foam insulation and wrapped with Heat reflective covering and over wrapped with 2” wide shiny rubber tape, even the pump portion of the intercooler pump is insulated.

Hp indy's fun fact of the day ....

Always double check the flow orientation of you catch can before installing it ...... Even if it is pre assembled from the manufacturer!

If you ever do any thing with the heads on you car ALWAYS replace the valve seals no matter how many miles are on them now so you don't have to do it in the car ! Summit racing $19.99 USD for comp cam 531-16 valve seals .

You need special tools to replace them? How long does it take per head to do with a fully assembled head on the bench?

All you need is a spring compressor to do them on the bench . About 45-60 mins per head maybe

I know the compressed air will hold the valve in place while you work but man that would make me nervous as hell LOL.

And I did the easy side ! I just finished the driver side and buttoned everything back up . I fired it up . Definitely less smoke but still there . Cylinder 1 and 5 you could see the oil being burnt . I cleaned all the plugs .

For the love of baby Jesus if you have your heads off for any reason change the seals!

Replaced the rubber coupler from the air box to ther throttle body .
Due to the 105mm throttle body and the FI spacers the rubber coupler that came in the kit looked like a 5 lbs cat in a 2 lbs bag .
This fits much smoother .

I must say dialing in larger injectors is much easier on E85 then it is on pump gas

100% agree, the smallest pulse on some of these large injectors just dumps 93 in which is not good. However if using a fuel that requires 33% more on average, bigger injectors make life easy.

I have a set of FIC 1440's and I got those suckers dialed in on pump gas damn near perfect . It did take a lot of time though . Changing 0.1 at a time in the injector scaling and playing with the accel/decel , cranking pulse width, warm up , etc tables . All that work made the flex fuel tuning much better . Flex fuel will never be perfect as it is inferred and not actual it is pretty good I must say . I just need to dial WOT in for both pump gas and E85 ( flex fuel should follow suit with the pump gas) . Unfortunately every chassis dyno I call up here is booked until the fall . I guess I will have to do it at the track .

I'm not a computer genius (as you know) but the only disadvantage to inferred I can see is the time it takes to 'read' the fuel. But once the fuel in the tank is mixed to whatever the mix is at that time it becomes a constant and the inferred should work perfectly. No?

The inferred works great don't get me wrong . I was comparing it to an actual ethanol sensor . There are a lot of variables in the inferred that could change things . I think the ethanol sensor would be more accurate. .

Sensor is guaranteed. Inferred is just that. I can put values in my FF tune that make it look right in the logs but in reality it's wrong. With some patience you can get it close enough though.

James, I'm curious what you did on accel and decel, I've not messed with that. I'll have to go look.
