Perf Dev Diff. Brace

So, finally installed my brace (older version) and have a question:
I could not install the rubber spacer (absolutely no room / spacing for it).
Is it ok to have the brace installed metal to metal?
Would using the Quick Jack (meaning no weight on rear end during install) cause there to be an issue with not being able to use the spacer?

I've installed two of them and on mine I was able to use the rubber spacer. While it likely won't hurt much of anything, you do have metal to metal contact at that point, and there will likely be some movement (rubbing) so over time the finish will get marred. Drive in bad conditions and it'll rust on the cradle. That's gonna take a looooong time to ever be a problem I think unless you drive it on salted roads and never wash it though.

I'm trying to remember what I did when I installed mine. The original was on Race Ramps so suspension loaded. The upgraded one I did on a lift and I had to get some help with pry bars to line things up, so you're theory may be right with the lift.

Thanks. Originally, I had watched your video on it (a year or so ago). I really wanted the spacer on it, but would not fit.
Might try race ramps and see if it allows for the spacer.

are you raising the car an supporting via the diff?? if so I would say that`s why that slim rubber piece won`t slide in place.

is the weight of the car on the jack under the diff?? that would cause the narrow gap not allowing room for insulator.

maybe I`m confused ,what is a quick jack. I`m spoiled only used car lifts an floor jacks my whole life.

Can you post pics? I'm not sure how it would fit without it

I'm not sure I like the idea of that bracket without a compliant aspect to it...

No weight on differential.

It might be due to the Quick Jack use.
Absolutely no room for the spacer.
Will try backing onto ramps, loosening the 2 frame bolts and see if I get any spacing.

Make sure it's not the order of operations as well.

There was no way to place the 2 main bolts back in the differential with the spacer in place.

Watched it awhile ago.
Thought it was pretty straightforward, until yesterday when the spacer wouldn't fit.
