Ordered 2021

Well its about time, years after saying I was going to order a hellcat I finally do it! Started with a 73' challenger, to 2014 rt, now to the car Ive always wanted (since 2015). koons came in 3k under my local dealer after I included flight and a gas estimate. Not to mention that the local dealer didn't seem too inclined to actually talk to me, maybe because I'm young looking? Oh well no skin off my back if he doesnt want a sale.

Was going back and forth on a 2020 but driving a cat back to Michigan in the salt and snow, for slightly more $$$ no thanks. Settled on a 2021 NB Hellraisin Hellcat. Plus package, drivers convenience group, perf spoiler. Widebody has grown on me but would rather put that 6k into tires, exhaust and maybe PPF. Maybe even something else but id have to ask the experts here about that

Current plans are to make some memories with the car and involve my dad. I have had a few too many head injuries and don't remember most of my time with him. Car cruises, 1/2 mile runs and drag strip days all sound like a great opportunity for that. I hope ill have the car early in the summer and then you guys will see more threads from me asking about all the basics and the what not to do's when it comes to these events.

P.S. Fiancee already said she never wants to drive it after she backed my RT into a giant blue dumpster on her first drive. That's fine with me!

PS - you made the right choice on the original body. If you want some wheel flares later just do Phillips Little Devils. Affordable, easy to install and perfect looking. Also easy to remove if you change your mind.

Thanks for the info, they don't look bad at all and that install couldn't be easier - Putting them on the list!

Currently looking at some wheels - Was thinking some widebody replicas or maybe Triumph Cx4's and see if I can get some hellraisin accents. Dont know if I want 20x10.5 or 20x11 yet. Just know I want some meat on the rear in 305 with the ability to play in the rain and maybe even slush. This will be a DD in Michigan after all.

Thinking of going with vibrants instead mid mufflers too. Apartment complex may not be too happy about that but I don't like those people anyway!

Anything else you guys can recommend please let me know and I will take a look!

Biz @TRIUMPH Got with Bill at Phillips (fender flares), and designed a wheel with correct offset so you can stuff a 11.5 inch wheel in the rear and 10 inch in front without any mods (other than the flares).

Sorry if I missed this somewhere (don't think I did), but did you order a regular Cat or a Redeye? Been waiting to hear when order books would be open for the regular ones myself. Didn't think they were open yet so I'm guessing you ordered a RE.

Sorry if I missed this somewhere (don't think I did), but did you order a regular Cat or a Redeye? Been waiting to hear when order books would be open for the regular ones myself. Didn't think they were open yet so I'm guessing you ordered a RE.

Im guessing its because of my age (27) and single, with 0 deductible and not stored in a garage. I plan to rent a garage for it and up the deductible but I fully expect it to stay above 2000 with this carrier even though Im in a rural area. Cant use collectors insurance because it will get 7k-10k miles a year

For reference, I'm at about $100/m on mine, but that's with a low-mileage policy (although that really didn't make a large difference).

I've seen 53 winters.

Have your parents carry the insurance and you listed as the principle driver or get married . I had a lot of muscle cars from the age of 17 and they were all insured thru my mother until that lucky day of me getting married.My first new car was a 87 GN and even the salesman said he would not order it till I checked with the insurance company but being 32 and married it was not bad at all.

Getting married on 8/14/21! When we get married I plan to add her car to my policy for the extra discount

Actually, I just checked, it's dropped since I first picked it up (5+ years ago), between the normal reductions and the Covid-19 reduction that State Farm is giving away, I'm at $72/month
